Since 2001, Freeman has been one of the great pioneers of cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, helping to define a more balanced, sophisticated and thoughtful style of winemaking—a style that has been embraced by connoisseurs and collectors around the world. Schaaf Design partnered with Freeman Winery on day one, creating their logo, labels, print collateral, packaging and web site.

Bottle and label for Freeman olive oil

After many years of pressing the olives from their trees and giving the oil as gifts to friends and customers, the good folks at Freeman are now bottling their olive oil in slightly larger quantities. While not commercially available yet, the plan is to supply several local craft food shops with their estate-bottled oil. We created this bottle label, which incorporates the classic Freeman branding with a topographic pattern that focuses on their Sebastopol winery.
